Malgana, Nanda and Yinggarda CountrySICK AF delves into the personal narratives of artists who have navigated life altering illnesses or injuries, using art as a medium for expression and healing. Featuring work from 21 local, national and international artists, the exhibition shares unique insight into the artists’ journeys, offering both intimate and universal reflections on resilience, healing, and creativity.

Touring with WA’s premier arts outreach organisation Art on the Move, Sick AF has made land in its first port-of-call, Shark Bay.
There’s a couple weeks left before it exits, but I’ve been told by reliable sources that it is an impressive show, with lots to interest the jewellery/jeweller curious. (You might remember that in a very uncharacteristic move I’m exhibiting a dress. You’ve got to check it out to understand – and if you’re not near WA, there’s always the amazing and exhausting website.)
I’ll keep you updated with its next travels, but for now, if you’re on holiday escaping the cold, now is the time to see it in the north!
