The second-to-last time I went AWOL on this post (yup, the one before last month…) I had people contacting me asking where the Deadlines post was. Thanks peeps 😉 It was gratifying, I will admit, especially because sometimes blogging feels like screaming into a gale at the end of a jetty; it takes a lot of effort, and to the uninformed outsider it appears like you’ve gone barmy…
Here’s most of the places I find this info. Of course, there’s usually still something right here, but just in case, y’know?
- Artist Trust – Washington State, mostly
- Juried Art Services – o’course they only know the deadline’s they’re operating
- crafthaus – there you have to be a member (at last check it’s $75/year), but Brigitte publishes all the calls that get sent to her, and members post their own
- Sign up to the newsletter of your favourite/local gallery, or to the blog of regularly occurring symposia/conferences, like the annual ECU symposium that always brings a wealth of opportunities.
- CaFE – Call For Entry site. Check out the site and sign up for email updates. America focused. (I’ve given up re-listing appropriate deadlines from their newsletter – it’s just too long…)
- In the UK? Sign up to the benchpeg newsletter, professional jewellery news, delivered weekly. Euro/Britain focused.
- Klimt02. Newsletter. Epic site. Enough said.
- Snag’s Springboard – you can get that in an RSS feed, so each new entry will come straight to your chosen portal. America focused.

Tributaries: Call for entries. The Metal Museum, in Memphis, has an ongoing call for exhibitions from emerging and mid-career artists. First deadline Feb 2013, for upcoming shows, and they keep applications on file for 2 years.
The Imperial Centre for the Arts + Sciences in North Carolina have a permanent exhibition call out, with shows booked 2-3 years in advance.
