A couple of weeks ago I gave some sizzle to the lovely Claire McArdle for her show Public Displays of Affection at RMIT First Site Gallery.
Go see it. Seriously. I think it’s the best show I’ve seen all year. The work is fabulous, really fun and beautifully proportioned and finished, and the opening, in which punters were encouraged to try on the works and have their picture taken wearing them, was inspired. The fact that she has then undertaken to send you a copy of your picture is simply the icing on the cake.
Here’s my (very unprofessional) photo, taken by my camera on the night. Thanks Mary for pressing the buttons.
