Instinctively anti but, without fail, get a better result the other way.
Really? Hmmm, I’m sure I get a worse result – but now I think of it, it’s certainty different, but maybe not worse…?
mmm interesting, I had to think very hard to visualise how I do it … if I’m piercing, always clockwise (inside of the line); if the outside of a shape, then anti-clockwise (outside of the line) … it’s all about accurate to the line and minimising the cleanup… the line always needs to be on the left of the saw blade, think it’s something to do with how my brain processes and my eyes can make sense of all the moving bits
That’s very specific, but also very logical. It’s funny how everyone is so precise. I will go to the inside or outside of the line depending on the application, but usually try to stick to the centre.
I go both ways (depends on which way is easiest for the shape and size of material I am cutting from) and always on the line!
