I&#8217;m a little late to this party, but since there&#8217;s still a few days for us all to act I thought I&#8217;d add my voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The federal govt. is preparing a national cultural policy, and a few local orgs are pestering artists to make a submission. To that end, our mates at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/visualarts.net.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">NAVA<\/a> have made a few suggestions that I&#8217;m pretty keen on. Just yesterday I was complaining about my lack of superannuation as an arts worker, and then I see that <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/visualarts.net.au\/arts-policy-priorities\/?utm_source=MASTER+List+-+Email+Subscribers+%2B+Members&amp;utm_campaign=d771fab0b9-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_03_05_01_36_COPY_01&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_0001b90ee5-d771fab0b9-76425629\" target=\"_blank\">in this list<\/a> good ole NAVA have got that on their list of things we need to address in our arts policy here in Aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If I may be so bold, I&#8217;d say why not have a look at NAVA&#8217;s lists, and perhaps even have a chat with your arts-worker buddies, then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arts.gov.au\/have-your-say\/new-national-cultural-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">get online to the fed gov&#8217;s submission page<\/a> and head to the bottom to bash out a few of your own suggestions, or reiterate the important ones you&#8217;ve read, so that we can start to get some action around arts funding up in here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yours in solidarity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>mc<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hiya to all my Aussie artists.
