{"id":4231,"date":"2012-03-21T12:10:05","date_gmt":"2012-03-21T01:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=4231"},"modified":"2012-03-21T12:10:05","modified_gmt":"2012-03-21T01:10:05","slug":"seattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=4231","title":{"rendered":"Seattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, for all of you playing at home, I have just moved house, from leafy and warm <a title=\"or as John Safran calls it... meh, let him tell you\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Balaclava,_Victoria\" target=\"_blank\">Balaclava<\/a> in Melbourne, to an apartment in grey and chilly <a title=\"with thanks to google maps\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?oe=utf-8&amp;rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;q=seattle&amp;um=1&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=0x5490102c93e83355:0x102565466944d59a,Seattle,+WA&amp;gl=us&amp;ei=iyVpT6qRFcOjiQLisLzlBg&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=geocode_result&amp;ct=title&amp;resnum=5&amp;ved=0CFwQ8gEwBA\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle<\/a>. That&#8217;s only a temporary description of the weather mind, I expect spring will come calling any second to change all that.<\/p>\n<p>Back in December 2011 <a title=\"my post on visiting Washington\" href=\"https:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=3997\" target=\"_blank\">I mentioned<\/a> the places where a jeweller might find a bench to rent if she were to find herself in a tight spot in Seattle &#8211; namely needing to work, with no place in which to do it. I&#8217;m not there yet, as I was busy making for an upcoming show in Japan right until the week before I left (at which point I had to deliver some tools I sold to new owners. Hey, if you&#8217;re one such owner, please say hi to your new electricity munching machine from me!) Thus far I have been happy to get over the move, celebrate my wedding anniversary by looking at houses to rent and figure out how to grocery shop here. All important things.<\/p>\n<p>I have had a mo to also check out the local jewellery supplies store, and in the name of my <a title=\"WWJSRP: shoulda come up with a catchier acronym...\" href=\"https:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?page_id=727\" target=\"_blank\">World Wide Jewellery Suppliers Review Project<\/a>, I&#8217;ll give you a brief description of my experience.
