{"id":2004,"date":"2010-12-02T08:33:09","date_gmt":"2010-12-01T21:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=2004"},"modified":"2010-12-01T20:38:37","modified_gmt":"2010-12-01T09:38:37","slug":"drum-roll-please","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=2004","title":{"rendered":"drum roll please"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Exciting news!!<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been awarded an Australia Council Visual Arts Board grant to undertake a residency with <a title=\"Elizabeth's profile at the UWE site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/sca\/research\/cfpr\/staff\/elizabeth_turrell\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Elizabeth Turrel<\/a>l at the <a title=\"The UWE website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of the West of England<\/a> in March of next year! I&#8217;m going to spend all of March in Bristol working with liquid enamel, at the Centre for Fine Print Research, with the inspirational Elizabeth!<\/p>\n<p>As you can tell by my (typical) overuse of exclamation marks, I&#8217;m excited!!<\/p>\n<p>I was at Elizabeth&#8217;s second workshop, held after the JMGA conference in Perth this year, where she taught the fundamentals of liquid enameling to a very enthusiastic bunch of jewellers, including the amazing <a title=\"Inari's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/inarikiuru.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inari Kiuru<\/a> who has gone on to use her knowledge <a title=\"Inari's in this year's Fresh!\" href=\"http:\/\/craftvic.org.au\/whats-on\/fresh\/fresh-2010\/inari-kiuru\" target=\"_blank\">spectacularly<\/a>. I waxed lyrical about the course and her <a title=\"previously: sharing my thoughts on the enamelling course\" href=\"https:\/\/www.melissacameron.net\/blog\/?p=417\" target=\"_blank\">at the time<\/a> and I have been attempting ever since to find a way to get to work with her again.
