Lock ’em in

As the last post on this blog intimated, I’m heading to Melbourne in October, and I’m also going to be in Perth in November. Thanks to the generosity (or perhaps more a laudable willingness to take a punt,) of a few friends and colleagues, I’ll be touring my One Design show in these two cities while I’m at it! I don’t mind telling you all that I had no plans to be back in Australia this year, but since I am coming I have reached out and find myself a beneficiary of the amazingly supportive Australian jewellery community. You’re all going to think I’m joking now, but in truth it really warms my heart. Aww, you guys!

I am now mightily looking forward to this trip, as well as my chance to show off what I’ve been up to this year, so if you’re in these areas, it would be great to see you.

Melbourne: 25th of October, 10am – 4pm @ Northcity4. One-day-only pop-up show!

Perth: Friday the 7th of November, 6:30pm onwards @ Contemporary Metal. The show will be there for a week or so, but it would be lovely to see some friendly faces on Friday the 7th for the opening. It’s been ages!

And on the subject of Perth, I’m also teaching my One Design workshop at Contemporary Metal (the one that took place in Sydney back in August) on Sunday the 9th of November, from 10am – 1pm. It’s my first time, so I hope I don’t screw it up you can join me 😉

I’d like to thank both Contemporary Metal and Northcity4, and especially Claire Townsend at CM alongside Anna Davern and Caz Guiney of NC4 for their kind offers and support for me in this mission. I’m just so chuffed that they are letting me and my work come and play. Thank you!

Looking forward to some jewellery-related shenanigans 🙂

  1. Hey Melissa, Always great to see what you are up to. You are a force to be reckoned with and your work deserves to be show at every gallery, outlet, you name it- in the world. I think that you need to come to Adelaide too. you have a place to stay (mine) and some great venues to exhibit and/or workshop. North City and Cont Metal are awesome and lucky to have you too. All the best and I hope to catch up with soon. Take care. m xx

  2. Michelle!! I did have a thought that since I’m doing the ‘workshop tour’ of Aus that I ought to head over to Rad-elaide too. I’m not going to be able to swing it this time, but thanks (again) for your accom. offer, I’ll keep it up my sleeve for the next time. Hope you’re having fun at the bench too, and here’s cheers to world domination for both of us!!
